The Certified Mental Performance Consultant® are members with a masters or doctorate who have met specific course requirements in sport and exercise psychology and have completed an extensive, supervised work experience. The disciplines included within the sport psychology field which includes: Clinical Psychology, Educational and Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Industrial–Organizational Psychology, and Sport and Exercise Psychology from a sport science basis. The video educates the viewer that working with a Certified Mental Performance Consultant®, (“helps clients develop and use mental, life, and self-regulatory skills to optimize performance, involvement, enjoyment, and personal development”  AASP, 2017).
